Security of online payments:
Sette Angeli uses state of the art, secure technology for all online orders. All payment transactions are enabled by WorldPay payment processing a Digital ID and the Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) protocol. During the order process your credit card number is encrypted (scrambled) and is only decrypted when it arrives at the processing point. Once an order transaction has been completed a credit card number is removed from the computer system. WorldPay supports the full range of fraud-prevention methods including online transaction authorization, cardholder verification (i.e. via Verified by Visa and MasterCard Secure Code), and Address Verification Service (AVS). In addition, WorldPay has developed several in-house fraud detection/protection tools which provide customers with added security. We at Sette Angeli do not archive your credit card number on any computers. The Sette Angeli website is powered by StoreFront which partners with companies such as Bank of America, Wells Fargo, WorldPay and PayPal. Some of StoreFront's clients include Alaska Airlines, Saturn, Lee Jeans, Russell Athletic, Allied National and Panama Jack.

The use of this site is governed by the TERMS AND CONDITIONS AGREEMENT OF SALE set forth herein. Please read them carefully. Your use of this site indicates your acceptance of these terms and conditions. Sette Angeli reserves the right to make changes to this site and these terms and conditions at any time without prior notice. By placing an order, the customer accepts and agrees to be bound and abide by the said TERMS AND CONDITIONS contained herein. This Agreement supersedes any other verbal or written agreement between a Sette Angeli representative and any customer or prospective customer.

There is beauty in imperfection:
Every Sette Angeli ceramic creation is individually handmade. Each item will vary slightly in design and color from others in the same set. Characteristics of such hand painted pieces include minor variations in size and shape. Other signs of one of a kind pieces may include faint fingerprints, paint smudges and small scratches—characteristics which are symbols of talented workmanship and should not be viewed as defects.

Food safe products sold by Sette Angeli meet all FDA standards for cadmium and lead. Sette Angeli does not sell any ceramic piece meant to be used as a dinner plate, saucer, bowl, dish, cup or mug that is not completely food safe. This is not to say that a maiolica wall plate, for example, created for use exclusively as a decorative item, should be used as a dinner plate.
Sette Angeli ceramics are earthenware fired at low-temperatures over a long period of time. We recommend not exposing ceramics to high-temperatures. Do not use fine, hand painted ceramics in a microwave. Maiolica ceramics are considered safe for the dishwasher only if the low or energy saver cycle is used. Steel wool or other abrasive products should not be used to clean maiolica ceramics.
Sette Angeli products should also not be used in a conventional oven. You may notice over time that crazing or small fine lines might form on your hand painted ceramics after repeated use. This is a common trait of maiolica and adds to the one-of-a-kind character of each item. Crazing or the appearance of fine lines do not harm the ceramics. >> back to top
Pride in workmanship:
All Sette Angeli products are MADE IN ITALY. Beware of other lower quality pieces that may look similar but say “Designed in Deruta” or “Artwork from Italy” and are made in China or other places.

Special Requests:
If you would like to purchase a higher quantity than what is shown as available, simply make a purchase for the available amount and complete our contact us form with your additional request and we will be glad to assist you. Half of the payment is required when order is placed and the remainder three days before shipment. If there are other ceramic items not shown or additional non-ceramic products in Italy we may be able to assist you to locate and purchase, please let us know. Allow 5-7 weeks for special orders. Order/Pricing policy:
Prices are subject to change without notice. We make every effort to be accurate and up-to-date on our website, however occasional errors may occur. We reserve the right to make revisions. We will notify you of the correction and give you the opportunity of canceling the order if the change is not satisfactory or readjusting the price or product as needed. Orders are subject to availability, cleared funds and confirmation of price, specification, availability and cancellation in the event of errors.

Shipping, availability, damaged items & replacement:
We ship via FedEx, DHL and UPS and shipping prices include insurance for damages. For smaller items, PosteItaliane may also be used. In the remote case of any broken items, save the shipping box and all packing materials as well as broken items for UPS, FedEx or DHL inspection. Every item has been carefully inspected before being shipped and will leave Deruta in perfect condition. Any breakage which occurs in shipping must be reported directly to the carrier within 7 days of delivery so a claim can be activated. The broken item, all original packaging materials and paperwork must be readily available to process a claim. The carrier may need to inspect broken items and packaging before a claim is approved. As an additional measure, please also let us know via our contact us form or email within 7 days so that we are aware of the damage even though actual claims are between the customer and shipper. The shipper will not able to provide replacement or credit for damaged products not reported in 7 days of receipt. Once the carrier approves or makes payment for a damage claim, we will replace the damaged product with the same or comparable item. Shipping and handling costs are not refundable. If shipper determines that a damaged product can be repaired, coverage may be for repair instead of replacement.
On original orders, be sure to include your complete billing & shipping address. Any discrepancies based on incomplete or inaccurate information which results in an increased shipping fee will be passed on to you, the customer. If your address for mail service is different than for ground shipments, please be sure to provide both. This can be noted in the comments section of the Order Form if needed.
All orders are subject to availability, cleared funds, and confirmation of price. We make every effort to keep our website current and provide a reasonable turn-around on products. Some items are almost always in stock; other items may require a lead-time. Most out of stock items can be supplied within 3-4 weeks, but occasionally the manufacturer is also out of stock, so more lead time may be needed. If the item is no longer available, we will notify you, cancel the order to activate a refund or a replacement product. All shipping prices provided on this web site are quoted for shipments from Italy to North America.
All Sette Angeli products in stock are normally shipped within 3-7 business days after payment is confirmed. Typically, you will receive your shipment within 7-14 business days depending on where you live. Often times there are factors that are beyond our control, such as the amount of time it takes to clear Customs. Please allow up to 3-4 weeks for delivery. If you require Sette Angeli to rush an order to you, we will be glad to do so if you let us know your preferred rush service via a contact us form. Additional charges will apply for rush orders.

Special items:
Products shown in the “Specials” section are one-of-a-kind creations and if damaged in shipment, store credit will be given to select another product of equal value. Products marked as specials are typically items that are no longer in production so exact replacements are normally not available.

Sales tax:
Taxes charged depends upon the identity of the seller, the type of item purchased and the destination of the shipment. Companies selling over the internet are subject to the same sales tax collection requirements as any other retailers. Remote sellers, including internet retailers, are generally required to collect taxes where they have a physical selling presence. If they do not have a physical presence, they are not required to collect sales taxes. The Internet Tax Freedom Act (ITFA) has been renewed through 31 October 2007. The ITFA was primarily intended to prevent state and local governments from imposing new or discriminatory taxes on internet transactions and on internet access. Despite the name of the Act, ITFA does not preclude state and local governments from imposing existing sales tax collection requirements on companies selling over the internet.

Customs and import duties information:
Your order may be subject to import duties and taxes, which are levied once your package reaches the United States or any other country. Sette Angeli does not collect duties and taxes and cannot predict what your particular charges may be. If the United States or any other country imposes customs duties or import taxes, you will have to pay them in order for your package to clear customs. Typically this payment is in the form of an invoice which is sent directly to you by the shipper (i.e. FedEx, UPS or DHL) a couple weeks after the shipment arrives. Payment is due to the shipper directly. These fees are based on the total value of your shipment. For more information regarding your country’s custom policies, please contact your local customs office. Returns will be subject to your country's duty and tax policies as well.
Refund and exchange policy:
The customer has a right to cancel the order within 24 hours of placing the original purchase for a refund except in the rare case where an order has already been shipped. Email Sette Angeli at info@setteangeli.com and we will respond. After 24 hours from the time of placing the order, all orders are final. If for some reason you are not satisfied with your purchase, you may return your product(s) for up to seven days after the date the shipment arrives, for exchange or credit only. All items must be returned to Sette Angeli in original packaging (unless after usage the container is not sturdy—in which case, place item(s) in new container), well-wrapped and in resalable condition along with a copy of the sales receipt. All shipping charges, which need to include full insurance coverage (claiming complete purchase price value) back to Italy, must be paid by the customer, using the original shipping company. Re-shipment fees for new items selected to replace original products must also be paid by the customer. If the incorrect item was sent to the customer originally, Sette Angeli will pay for the shipment fees. No COD deliveries to Sette Angeli are accepted. Please note that any item received by Sette Angeli damaged or in used condition will not be exchanged or credited. First notify us with your request to return or exchange an item by using the contact us and we will email and confirm details regarding proper return address, etc.. Thank you for your cooperation.
